Guests can look forward to 224 hotel rooms of various sizes spread across 13 floors. The ground floor is home to our new cocktail bar, The Mill Bar, which even has its own entrance. On floor 2, you'll find one of our popular Brasserie X restaurants.
The Mill is a new and exciting hotel. YA wants to illuminate with colourful art in the hotel rooms where YA breaks off the interior colour palette with strong pink and turquoise with motifs that reflect Malmö with the sea and the coastline.
To the public areas, YA has chosen to work with a glass artist and an artist who has attracted the stimulating and creative from The Mill. YA wants the guests and staff to get a surprised smile on their lips when they enter the entrance where Ammy Olofsson developed a glass portal with playful glass blobs, mirror reflections and neon lights on the stairs. The portal goes from the ground floor and climbs up to the restaurant. Ammy's expression is very present and evokes a desire to squeeze and feel, which one, of course, are allowed to.
In the bar and lounge area, which also has its own entrance, Liva Isakson Lundin is represented. Through her work she makes steel incandescent and flowing! Here she alludes to the fact that the hotel was previously a concert hall and creates a brass wire (a flirt to brass instruments) which starts from one corner at the bar and lounge entrance, and then goes out into the room in a paused movement. The work is both sharp and soft and will be a perfect part of the stylish interior.
To the hotel rooms, YA works with Lina Jelanski, who is a fantastic photographer from Finland. To the suites, in addition to Lina, Cru Camara from the Philippines will also be represented.
A visit to The Mill should feel wonderful and stimulating regardless of whether it is first or tenth visit!
